“We passionately believe that nutrition and physical fitness are essential in one’s life. If you have never exercised before or are already following an exercise regimen, I will create a program that will enhance your current state of health and fitness. By understanding the biomechanics of how your body works, through proper form, and with my continual support, your optimal health is just around the corner!”
Holistic nutrition consultant and fitness professional Abby Tannen, the CEO of Pure Body Design, had already been a fitness expert for more than a decade when she decided to embark on a journey to discover the person she always dreamed of becoming. By journey’s end, she had taken control of her life and discovered that, of all the alternative practices that she studied, none had a more profound effect on her than did her new perspective on the critical role of food and nutrition, diet and lifestyle. She has, ever since, been incorporating this holistic approach into her fitness programs, which now extend far beyond simply helping people get a good workout.
About ten years ago she decided to expand her knowledge of health and wellness, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Everglades University in Alternative medicine, gaining invaluable insight into Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Ayurvedic principles, Herbology, relaxation techniques and Homeopathy. She went on to finish her Master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University, trained by the top professionals in the field of integrative medicine. In addition, she became an active member of the National Association of Natural Practitioners, giving her continual access to the most current articles and research in the field of Holistic Health.
By using the techniques that helped transform her life, Abby leads each of her clients, one step at a time, to optimal health, happiness and vitality. Today, she is a Holistic nutritional consultant, a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with more than 20 years of experience. Abby founded the Wellness Project at the Polo Club of Boca Raton which, through lectures, weekly emails and monthly newsletters keeps residents knowledgeable on how to enhance their lives through a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise.
